Learn how to create a Color Grid Photo Effect using Adobe Photoshop CC 2017
Create a new document 500 x 500 with a white background
double click on the layer and ' Ok '
Right click and choose Blending Options
Stroke:
Size: 7px
Pozition: Inside
Select a black color
Go to Edit - Define Pattern
save the pattern by clicking ' OK
Close the document and Open the file you want to apply the grid effect
double click on the Background layer
CTRL + J duplicate the layer
Right click and go to Blending Options
Pattern Overlay
From Pattern select the pattern you saved early
Go to Select - Color Range and click on white color
Uncheck Localized Color Clusters
Fuzziness: 0
Press ' Delete " key to delete the white
Click on Layer 0 and add a mask
Right click on Layer 0 copy and select Rasterize Layer Style
Go to Magic Wand Tool
Press and hold SHIFT key while you select squares
and then to Create a new Fill or Adjustment layer and select solid color
Select Layer 0 copy again
Go to Magic Wand Tool
Press and hold SHIFT key while you select squares
Go to Create a new Fill or Adjustment layer and select Hue/Saturation
Check Colorize box and select a color
Repeat : Select Layer 0 copy Press and hold SHIFT key while you select squares
Go to Create a new Fill or Adjustment layer and select Hue/Saturation
Check Colorize box and select a color
Click on Layer 0 copy and CTRL + I if you want a white grid
